Biography
Grace Veach brings over 23 years of experience in library systems to Southeastern University. Before arriving at Southeastern in 2001, Veach served as the head of technical services at Decatur Public Library in Decatur, Illinois, where she directed the technical services department and served as the library's chief cataloger. She has served as a member of the Tampa Bay Library Consortium Board and chaired the Sunline Library Directors group.
In addition to her field experience, Veach has also published several articles for both library and education publications. In January 2009, her article, "Teaching Information Literacy to Faculty: An Experiment" was featured in College and Undergraduate Libraries.
As Southeastern's Dean of Library Services, Veach oversees all aspects of library services and the university's academic tutoring program, ACE. She is also instrumental in providing direction and strategic planning for the library services department.
Veach is also an adjunct professor of English. She teaches undergraduate Composition I and Composition II in both online and traditional formats.
She is also an active member of many of Southeastern's academic committees. |
