Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps

Leaders are born, but they are also forged. Few programs in the world develop leaders as well as the ROTC, which has been training cadets since 1916. Southeastern University is proud to partner with the ROTC in the spirit of building up strong servant leaders who will influence and change the world.

Our ROTC cadets participate in specialized training, including lessons in land navigation and maneuvering. Physical training is held every morning, and cadets travel off-campus multiple times each semester for situational field training that tests their abilities in reconnaissance, attack, and other disciplines.

Although many cadets plan for careers in the military, the benefits of the ROTC program give them a strong foundation for other fields. Southeastern cadets have become pastors and business leaders, teachers and logistics professionals. Most importantly, they have become leaders in their homes, their jobs, their churches, and their communities.

In addition to unique training and leadership development, the ROTC has financial benefits that include:

  • Full tuition coverage
  • Books and fees allowance
  • Room and board assistance
  • Yearly stipend of up to $5,000

"I think in Army ROTC, they say that they are teaching leadership, but I think what they are actually doing is trying to bring out the leader inside you. They develop the leadership skills that you already have and try to enhance them and make you a better leader."
