About This Degree

Are you called to serve others in the fields of ministry and leadership through higher education? Do you want to conduct innovative research in the areas of church ministry, parachurch ministries, and Christian leadership? Does leading faith-based organizations in diverse contexts sound like your ideal career? Students who graduate from this program will be able to accomplish all this and much more! 

As a track of our popular PhD in Organizational Leadership degree, this cutting-edge, partner-focused program incorporates courses from the Doctor of Ministry program, giving students the ability to conduct research within churches and parachurch partners.  

Course Content

In these courses, you will learn to:

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of leadership theory by analyzing and evaluating organization trends. 
  • Apply qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods of research to study and advise organizations.
  • Advance organizational leadership research toward current and future ministry applications.
  • Participate in organizational leadership scholarship through regular publication, collaboration, and education. 
  • Analyze and evaluate global trends in Christianity. 
  • Explore and publish on the realities and trends of contemporary Christianity.  

This track helps students find and fulfill their divine design by providing education on conducting scholarly research in the fields of ministry and leadership.
