The DMin at SEU allows students to work on their doctoral project throughout the program, providing them the full benefit of mentorship throughout the project, plus peer support and a more manageable workload.

Ministry enhancing
The program is intended to enhance the competency and understanding in ministry. It is designed to provide leaders actively involved in ministry with advanced, innovative training in the practice of biblically-sound, theologically-based, and spiritually-motivated ministry. Students don't have to take time away from their current ministries while they pursue their degree. In fact, the DMin actually requires active involvement in a current ministry.

Doctoral Mentor A unique highlight of this program is reflected in each student’s opportunity to work closely with a doctoral mentor to assess goals and challenges in the student’s own ministry. This mentorship extends throughout the student’s journey in the program. | Faculty & Peer Mentors Just because you’re learning online doesn’t mean you’re not part of the SEU community. Through a unique blend of virtual group meetings with your peers and faculty, you will reap the benefits of being mentored while also having the opportunity to provide mentorship to others who are sharing in your journey. |
Spiritual Formation & Health of the Leader: In-Person The hybrid cohort version of this course is structured as an in-person spiritual retreat. This experience provides principles and practices to grow and maintain the spiritual, emotional, physical and relational health of the ministry leader, and provides a strong sense of camaraderie within the cohort. | Spiritual Formation & Health of the Leader: Choice of Format Students in the online DMin have the option to attend the in-person retreat alongside hybrid cohort members. Or, students can participate in a fully virtual retreat facilitated by our certified spiritual directors. (Both options provide comparable course content.) . |
