In SEU’s Barnett College of Ministry & Theology, you’ll learn biblical truths and relevant skills that will empower you to fulfill your ministry calling. You’ll gain a strong theological foundation, learn to lead others in their faith journey, and actively participate in ministry as a student. Our renowned faculty integrate biblical insights and ministerial skills into every class, and you’ll interact with many of the country’s most influential ministry leaders.
Earning a ministry & theology degree from Southeastern University gives you the training you need to serve in the types of ministry jobs that are most needed in the local church. As a Christian university, Southeastern University has trained transformative church and ministry leaders since our founding in 1935. Equipping and supporting the church and Christ’s mission is what we do. You are the future of the Christian faith, and we are committed to equipping you to lead, influence and guide the church toward growth and life-changing ministries.
The Barnett College of Ministry & Theology was named for longtime chancellor of SEU, Pastor Tommy Barnett, founder of Dream City Church.
Named in honor of world missionaries Bob and Hazel Hoskins, this school is housed within the Barnett College of Ministry and Theology and provides the knowledge and opportunities to carry out mission work domestically and abroad.
Through this unique, accelerated program, main campus and partner site students can earn both a bachelor’s degree in ministry and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) in as little as 5 years!
Our students have many opportunities for experiential learning within churches, including real-world experience and learning from the leading pastors in the nation. Barnett College graduates are well-prepared to be placed in a church staff position upon graduation.
