Meet the Dean

Dr. Aimee Franklin

An alumna of SEU, Dr. Aimee Franklin returned to the university in 2014 as a full-time faculty member. Franklin received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Alabama Birmingham, and during that time, completed research on Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), the most commonly inherited form of autism. Franklin received numerous institutional awards and funding as well as grants from the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute of Neurological Disease and Stroke for her research.
