We are proud to announce that SEU Worship has received two nominations for the 56th annual Dove Awards!
The album Move of God has been nominated for Worship Album of the Year, and a song featured within the album, What a God, has been nominated for Worship Recorded Song of the Year.
We’re honored that the work so many of our students, staff, faculty, and alumni have poured into every aspect of this worship collective is being recognized on such a prominent national platform.
Breaking Records
In addition to these nominations, SEU Worship has been steadily exceeding their prior streaming records with every album release.
We Need a Move of God
SEU Worship’s Move of God album features 11 live-recorded songs, crafted with love, devotion, and a hunger for the presence of God to move. Since its release in June of 2024, it has been a major hit in the worship music genre, receiving 1.2 million streams just in the first week of its release. Overall, it has received around 500 million lifetime streams (and counting).
What a God
Within the Move of God album, the song What a God continues to break streaming records week after week. Celebrating God’s sovereignty and providence, this song has become a campus favorite and continues to resonate deeply with our community’s faith journey.
This song was introduced at SEU Conference and features artists such as Brunes Charles from ONE HOUSE and vocalist Roosevelt Stewart, written just a week before the event during a spontaneous songwriting session. Brunes and Roosevelt ended up staying to lead worship at two of the Conference sessions, where the song instantly resonated with campus students. As it continues to grow in popularity with listeners, What a God has received 7 million lifetime streams since the time of its release. As the chords of this song echo in churches around the nation, it has been ranked in the CCLI Top 100 songs circulating in churches.
Since the release of Move of God, SEU Worship dropped another new album, A Forgiving God, which was released in June of this year. Within the first week of the release, it had already reached 1.6 million streams, surpassing even the first week of Move of God. The message woven throughout the A Forgiving God album is one of homecoming — returning to grace and stepping into the ongoing work of healing and redemption.
Before Move of God, popular albums such as Heart Cry and Walk With You contributed to the group’s rise in streams and subscribers.
National Praise
This isn’t the first time that SEU has been represented on a national music stage. In 2022, two SEU alumni were featured at the Grammy Awards, and SEU Worship appeared in the Pre-Jam lineup of the 2024 and 2025 Winter Jam tours.
In April of 2025, SEU Worship was also featured in Relevant Magazine as one of their 7 Worship Collectives Quietly Shaking Up the Church Music Scene.

About SEU Worship
SEU Worship is the worship movement at Southeastern University. As a collaboration between the faculty, staff, students, and alumni, SEU Worship is a reflection of the worship during weekly chapel services on our campus and within our community. Inspired by the sounds of current pop music and the culture of our student population, our writers aim to craft prophetic, theologically-sound lyrics that resonate with audiences of all ages, but especially with young adults.
