Bio

As a highly qualified educator with over twenty years of experience as a classroom teacher, school principal (preschool through twelfth grade), superintendent of international school in Japan, and college professor, Dr. Coscia is committed to excellence in education. Her heart for education and missions is blended beautifully while responding the call to serve.

Dr. Coscia’s education integrated with experiential learning and specialized training has equipped her with expertise for collaborating with culturally diverse teams, cross-training, cultivating community, conducting professional development, and program performance management. Her research includes servant leadership, missions, discipleship, and organizational leadership. She has represented SEU at various international education conferences around the world providing skilled training for teachers and administrators. Her international experience as a superintendent in Japan has given her valuable insight into the lives of global educators and makes her an effective and discerning presenter. Not only has Dr. Coscia provided outstanding educator training in international schools across the globe, but she also serves internationally on accreditation teams modeling a growth mindset for continuous improvement.

With strong ethical leadership, Dr. Coscia has graciously navigated through critical issues guiding learning communities through transition. Dr. Coscia reviews data and identifies gaps for innovative problem solving providing professional learning for organizations. At the university level, she has served as the lead coordinator for the teacher preparation programs and successfully led the College of Education through a site review with the Department of Education and Teacher Preparation Institute.

Dr. Coscia and her family love to travel. She enjoys a cup of strong, hot coffee. Running, spinning, and gardening are a few of her favorite activities to relax while recharging.
