Welcome Center
Join in a walking tour of campus to learn about our history, programs offered at SEU, new developments, and experience a taste of campus life.

9:00 AM | Past, Present, and Future Fire Chapel Service
Bush Chapel
A special gathering for alumni, families, current students, and prospective students to connect and celebrate the legacy of SEU. Experience powerful worship led by SEU Worship, followed by an inspiring sermon from a current student who will share their journey at SEU. 

10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Market Day
El Prado
Career Services hosts Market Day for businesses that are owned and operated by our students. These student entrepreneurs can set up a booth to promote their business, sell their products, and connect with students.

10:50 AM | Legacy Lecture from Dr. William “Bill” Hackett, Jr.
Buena Vida West 112
Enjoy a classic theology lecture from Dr. Hackett. Dr. Hackett currently serves as provost emeritus, providing guidance to the university’s leadership team. He has been an integral part of the university since 1988 and served in several positions in teaching, administration, student development, and academic affairs. 

11:00 AM – 1:45 PM | Lunch on Campus
Choose from our three restaurants on campus (Einstein Bros. Bagels, Papa John’s Pizza, or Backyard Burgers) or stop into Tuscana Ristorante.

12:30 PM – 2:30 PM | Campus Tours
Welcome Center

New tour groups leave the Welcome Center every thirty minutes.

Join us at the Fire Fair, a lively carnival-themed celebration to kick off Homecoming Weekend! Gather with family and friends for an evening of fun, food, and festivities. Enjoy classic carnival games while making memories with your loved ones. 

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM | The Southeastern Homecoming Gala (By Invitation Only)

An elegant evening where we will celebrate the transformative power of education and the lasting impact of SEU. Enjoy fine dining and inspiring speakers who will share the vision for the future of education and the university’s profound impact on the local and global community. Whether you are an alum, supporter, or friend of SEU, this gala is an opportunity to reflect on our shared values and look ahead to the bright future we are building together.

The Fire are 21–4 all-time against Thomas University, and have won 17 straight against the Nighthawks. The Homecoming parade will lead you straight to the game. We invite you to stay and support the women’s basketball team!

Soccer Field
The Fire are 14-1 all-time against Florida Memorial and have won 9 straight matches against the Lions. The Fire soccer complex is a wide open space with plenty of room for fans to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the game.

11:00 AM –1:45 PM | Lunch on Campus

12:00 – 1:30 PM | Missions ‘SENT’ Documentary Screening

1:30 – 4:00 PM | Tailgating
Destino Lot
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just here for the vibes, this tailgate is the perfect way to fuel up and get energized for the Homecoming game! There will be music, games, and plenty of fun to bring the excitement before heading into the stadium.

4:00 PM | Football Game vs. St. Thomas
Victory Field
The Fire have faced St. Thomas 7 times, with the Fire holding a 4–3 advantage in the series. The Homecoming game will be a “black-out,” with all fans encouraged to wear black. Enjoy the fan-friendly atmosphere at a Fire football game, with flames coming off the scoreboard after touchdowns and where entertainment on the field, in the stands, and on the Jumbotron is sure to impress!

Featuring members of the current student body elected by their peers, the Homecoming King & Queen will be crowned. Please join us in celebrating one of SEU’s long-standing traditions.

Meet us under the stars for the spectacular Homecoming Firework show immediately following the big game. 

7:00 PM – 9:30 PM | Fuel the Fire: Homecoming Bonfire & Outdoor Concert
Destino Field
Join us at the Homecoming Bonfire for a cozy evening of live music, community, and sweet treats! Enjoy student band performances, roast marshmallows, and relax by the fire with friends and family under the night sky.

The Fire are 12–7–1 all-time against Webber International, have won 5 straight, and are 11–1 in their last 12 meetings against the Warriors. The Fire soccer complex is a wide open space with plenty of room for fans to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the game.

Fire Family Weekend 2024 FAQs

Your registration covers access to all scheduled Family Weekend events, including campus tours, special sessions, and activities. Some events may have additional costs, which will be noted during the registration process. 

T-shirts will be provided for the first 100 registrants.

Yes, on-site registration will be available for select events. However, for the best experience possible, we encourage you to register online in advance to secure your spot and ensure availability for limited-capacity events. 

There is not a limit to the number of guests who can attend to help celebrate and encourage students, however all attendees must be registered during the online process. 

Registrant Pricing:

  • Individual Registrant: $25
  • Registrant + Guest: $40
  • Additional Guests: $25/person
    All children under 12 years old can attend for free with registration.

Yes, parking will be available for Family Weekend attendees. Parking details, including maps and designated areas, will be provided in your registration confirmation email. 

We recommend casual, comfortable attire for Family Weekend events. Be sure to bring your SEU Fire merch or sport our school colors red, black, and white! (The Homecoming Gala is the only formal event of the weekend.) 

Saturday’s Homecoming game is a “black out,” so wear black!
