Ignite Learning Partners with Acadeum and Southeastern University

Ignite Learning* has joined the Acadeum network, which includes over 500 institutions sharing online courses, certificates and degree programs. Now Ignite students can take thousands of online dual enrollment courses to meet their college and career goals and even earn an associate’s degree while in high school.  Through the Acadeum network, Ignite has partnered with Southeastern University (SEU) to coordinate all of their concurrent enrollment courses, where students will earn college credit for courses delivered by qualified Ignite teachers.

“We know how important it is for our students to earn college credit for our high school courses and are thrilled to be working with a university with the reputation and breadth of SEU,” says Michelle Gardner, Program Manager at Ignite Learning. “Our families have been asking for a four-year partner for many years, because of the transferability of the credits. Through the Acadeum network, we know our students will have great transferability of the dual and concurrent enrollments completed.”

“One of Acadeum’s priorities is to reduce the time and cost of a college degree, so helping more students earn more credits is key to our mission and vision,” says Nathan Green, co-founder at Acadeum. “We know these students are more than qualified to start and even finish a college degree while in high school through Ignite Learning. Acadeum is proud to power this type of partnership and help more high school students get a head start on college and their career.”

“We are incredibly excited to partner with Ignite Learning to provide opportunities for their students to begin earning college credit through our Early SEU program while in high school,” says Dr. Kent Ingle, president of Southeastern University. “Ignite is a highly innovative program, and their passion for their students is evident in the way they create a more personalized and tailored educational experience for each student. That passion for innovation in education, as well as their desire to prepare students to thrive, aligns perfectly with the heart of SEU. Our goal at Southeastern University is always to create advanced educational experiences for students that unlock their potential and inspire them to make a unique impact in this changing world. We look forward to building this partnership to create a pathway for students to excel through their Ignite courses and into their college experience with SEU.”

Ignite students will be able to access the college courses from SEU and the larger Acadeum network as early as this summer.
