Our hands-on, skills-driven curriculum is designed to prepare you to lead sports and recreational programs that support the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals and communities. Whether you dream of coaching, diving into kinesiology, or becoming a leader in physical education, you can tailor your degree with one of our specialized concentrations to match your career goals.
SEU’s on-campus sport management program goes beyond the classroom with powerful internship opportunities that let you put your knowledge into action. Think pro teams, spring training camps, local rec programs — you’ll gain real world experience, build your network, and develop connections before you graduate. By the time you cross the stage at graduation, you’ll be well-equipped to step into your career and make an impact in the sport management field from day one.
MS in Sport Business Management
Starting Fall 2025, SEU is launching a new Master of Science in Sport Business Management — built for those who are passionate about sports and ready to grow as leaders in the field.
This flexible program is offered both online and on-campus, so you can shape your education around your schedule. Finish in as little as three semesters, or pace your courses over two years — it’s all up to you.
You can also customize your learning experience by adding a Data Science certificate to your degree. Data Science certificates are available fully-online through our SEU Tech program and will help you be equipped with the analytical skills that are in high demand in today’s sports industry. Practical experience is also a key component of this program, with options for a research thesis, capstone project, or internship — all designed to help you build real-world skills while earning credit.
Sports data analytics is not the only career path a student studying Sport Business Management can step into. After graduating from SEU with this degree, other career possibilities include being an athletic director, intercollegiate coach, sport information director, professor, and sports event coordinator.
Alumni Success: SEU Grads Making an Impact
SEU’s Sport Management program equips students with the academic knowledge and real-world skills necessary to succeed in the sports industry. Jordan Talley, a 2015 SEU graduate, is a standout example. Jordan currently works with the coaching team of the Florida Gators as a Player Development Assistant — and just this past weekend, he helped the Gators win the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship!
Jordan’s journey is a true testament to the power of SEU’s program. As a student-athlete, he helped lead the SEU Fire men’s basketball team to the NAIA Final Four in 2014 — one of the university’s all-time athletic highlights. Since earning his bachelor’s degree in sport management, Jordan has built a strong career in collegiate athletics. Since joining the Gators’ coaching staff in 2022, he has contributed to the team’s growth and success, culminating in this year’s national title. His success reflects how SEU prepares its students not just for the classroom, but for leadership at the highest levels of sports.
Other alumni have experienced similar success. Myah Bermudez, who works as the Ticket Sales Manager for the Albany FireWolves (an American professional box lacrosse team based in Albany, New York), credits SEU’s supportive community for her achievements. Myah shared, “Throughout my time in the sport management program, the community of students and professors pushed me to accomplish my academic goals, and I was challenged but constantly supported as I prepared for the working world.”
Similarly, Roger Morgan, a graduate assistant for SEU Fire Football, reflects on how the program shaped his leadership skills. “Sport management helped me grow as a leader and a mentor for young student-athletes in my coaching role,” he said. The program’s focus on leadership and adaptability has helped Roger thrive in coaching and mentoring roles.
Ethan Sullivan, now the Assistant Director of Sport Information at SEU, also points to the practical lessons he gained through the program. “The most important thing I learned through my studies was making connections, working hard, and how to work hard — three qualities that have served me and continue to do so,” he shared. These lessons, combined with the connections he made at SEU, have been instrumental in his career journey.
Studying sport management at SEU will equip you with the skills needed for professional sports, college athletics, or recreational sports, whether you’re already in the industry or aspiring to join. At SEU, we’re here to help you find your Divine Design in the exciting world of sports. Are you ready to step up to the plate?
