SEU will hold our Fall 2022 Commencement ceremony on our Lakeland campus on Friday, December 9, at 5 p.m. on Victory Field. The ceremony will feature guest speaker Dr. Alveda King, daughter of late civil rights activist Reverend A.D. King and niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
About the Graduates
The fall class of 2022 is SEU’s 85th graduating class with a total of 548 graduates — raising the overall total of graduates at the university to 22,257. The participating graduates originate from Florida, 35 other states, and 13 countries, including Argentina, India, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, and more.
In addition, 156 graduates participating in the ceremony come from 49 of SEU’s partner site locations.
More on Dr. King
Dr. King is the chair for the America First Policy Institute’s Center for the American Dream and the founder of Speak for Life and Alveda King Ministries. She has previously been a presidential appointee and was twice elected to the Georgia State House. In 2021, she was the recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dr. King is an acclaimed author, Fox News contributor, Fox Nation host, Newsmax blog contributor, and a film and music industry veteran.

The ceremony is open to graduates and ticketed guests and will be live-streamed at SEU.edu/graduation.
