SEU Honors First Responders’ Hurricane Milton Relief Efforts

In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton and its impact on our local community, we were so proud to honor and recognize the relief efforts of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) with a gift of $1,000 for their admirable service to those affected by the storm.

The donation provided $500 each to both the PCSO Charitable Fund and the charitable efforts of the Polk County Fire Rescue team.

A portion of this contribution was presented to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd at a PCSO meeting on December 2, where approximately 125 employees were honored for their long standing contributions to the community and service in the line of duty.

Senior Vice President of Advancement and Innovation Dr. Michael Steiner and Chief of Staff Patrick Fitzgerald presented this gift on behalf of SEU.

“SEU’s partnership with PCSO is critical to our ability to serve the needs of our students, and it is an honor for us to be able to support them as they continue doing incredible work in our community,” said Dr. Steiner.
