The album’s title track sets the tone with its heartfelt lyrics and powerful melodies, inviting listeners to experience the divine presence of God in their lives.
Oil & Offering
This song speaks to the beauty of surrender and devotion, drawing from the biblical imagery of oil as a symbol of anointing and offering as an act of worship.
Slower I Go
Written during a songwriting retreat in the fall of 2022 by a group of our staff and students, “Slower I Go” reflects on the value of patience and the spiritual discipline of slowing down in a fast-paced world. Inspired by James 1:19 and Romans 8:25, this song encourages us to be attentive to God’s voice and presence.
What A God
Introduced at SEU Conference in 2023, “What A God,” features Brunes Charles from ONE HOUSE & featured vocalist Roosevelt Stewart. This anthem, which celebrates God’s sovereignty and providence, has become a campus favorite and resonates deeply with our community’s faith journey.
Motives
Also written at the fall 2022 retreat, “Motives” delves into the purity of our worship intentions. This song reminds us to worship Jesus with holiness and honesty, focusing entirely on Him. It has been a beloved anthem in our chapel services since the 2022–23 school year.
Presence of the Lord
A soul-stirring track that invites listeners to bask in the overwhelming Presence of the Lord, encouraging a deeper connection and intimacy with God.
You Are Good
This uplifting song celebrates the goodness of God, with joyful melodies and lyrics that inspire gratitude and praise.
Monday Morning Faith
As a challenge to live out our worship beyond Sunday services and integrate it into our daily lives, “Monday Morning Faith” was one of the most popular songs performed by SEU Worship at Winter Jam 2024.
Send Me
This song is a call to action, inspiring us to answer God’s call to serve and spread His love. Written last summer and introduced at GO Conference 2023 (our annual SEU Missions conference), “Send Me” has become the official song of SEU’s mission trip launches.
FREE!
Ending the album on a high note, “FREE!” is a declaration of the freedom we have in Christ. Its energetic and liberating message will have you singing along in no time.
