Program Tracks
Administration
This track is designed to provide current and aspiring nurse managers and clinical nurse leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to guide daily operations in a variety of healthcare settings.
In addition to the administration and leadership components of this degree, you will learn:
- Healthcare principles and policies
- Financial and economic perspectives
- Quality and risk management strategies
- Legal and accreditation aspects of healthcare
If you have a passion for participating in the direction of present and future healthcare policies, this degree will provide you the financial, ethical, and resource management skills you need to be an effective leader.
In addition to the 12 hours of MSN core curriculum, this track requires 20 hours of additional coursework (6 courses) and at least 140 practicum hours. Grades less than a C will not be counted.
Education
This track prepares nurses to move into educational roles in academic, hospital, or community health settings. The ever-evolving landscape of healthcare is making nurse educators even more critical to evidence-based nursing practice and to improved patient outcomes.
In addition to the in-depth nursing curriculum of this degree, you will learn:
- Curriculum design and development
- Teaching and mentorship strategies
- Assessment and evaluation

Southeastern University (SEU) will host an accreditation visit by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for our MSN program on February 14-16, 2024. The purpose of the visit is to seek continuing nursing accreditation of the Master of Science in Nursing program.
In accordance with CCNE accreditation procedures, interested parties may submit written comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation.
Written third party comments regarding the College of Nursing MSN program must be received by CCNE no later than January 3, 2024. Only signed comments are accepted by CCNE. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English.
CCNE shares their-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards.
