SEU Opens New Campus in Downtown Winter Haven

We are so excited to announce that we have opened a brand new 13,000-square-foot campus in the heart of downtown Winter Haven. Located at the corner of 3rd Street SW and Magnolia Avenue, the new site — SEU Winter Haven — will serve graduate and undergraduate students in both traditional and online cohort programs, offering flexible pathways to in-demand degrees.

Expanding Our Reach

The campus will feature classroom space, administrative offices, and collaborative study areas, and will support academic disciplines including health care, logistics, business, and other emerging fields tailored to workforce needs in Central Florida.

“This new campus represents a powerful step forward in our mission to make higher education more accessible and community-connected,” said President Kent Ingle. “Winter Haven is a growing, vibrant city, and we’re thrilled to become part of its downtown fabric, serving students who are eager to grow personally and professionally.”

A New Hub for Higher Education

The landlord of the new campus is Six/Ten, LLC, a Winter Haven-based real estate investment and development company that has been instrumental in fostering a live-work-play-learn environment in the city’s urban core.

“We believe in creating meaningful places that drive economic growth and educational opportunity,” said Bud Strang, CEO of Six/Ten, LLC. “Partnering with SEU to bring higher education to downtown aligns perfectly with our vision for Winter Haven’s future.”

The SEU Winter Haven campus development effort was led by Senior Vice President of Advancement & Innovation Dr. Michael Steiner and Rick Baker, former mayor of St. Petersburg and an investor and advisor for Six/Ten, LLC. “A university presence is a significant catalyst for building a vibrant city center,” said Baker. “This is a very big day,” Dr. Steiner added. “We couldn’t be more excited about bringing a campus to downtown Winter Haven.”

Community-Wide Excitement

City leaders are equally enthusiastic about the new addition to the downtown landscape.

“The opening of SEU Winter Haven is a milestone moment for our community,” said T. Michael Stavres, city manager of Winter Haven. “This campus brings new energy and opportunity to downtown and strengthens our ability to retain and attract students, professionals, and businesses. The future for our students is bright!”
