Develop your ministerial calling with culturally-informed leadership.
Now fully available in Spanish, the Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership equips students with biblically grounded training and practical ministry leadership skills. Designed to serve Hispanic churches and communities, this program combines theological depth, cultural insight, and flexible learning formats to support leaders at every stage of ministry.
The Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership (MAML) is now fully offered in Spanish, expanding access to graduate-level theological education for Hispanic and Latinx ministry leaders. This Spanish-adapted program provides a strong biblical foundation alongside practical ministry training, equipping students to lead with wisdom, cultural understanding, and spiritual depth in the communities they serve.
Students may begin their journey with the Spanish Ministry Certificate, the recommended first step for those new to graduate ministry study. These courses are contextualized for a Hispanic audience and include a capstone experience. Upon completion, students can continue into the full MAML or MDiv programs, strengthening and enriching their theological and leadership formation.
Students engage in coursework that integrates theology, leadership development, and ministry formation while addressing the real-world challenges faced by churches and organizations today. Designed with flexibility in mind, the program is offered in an online-based format with hybrid opportunities, allowing students to balance academic study with ministry responsibilities.
The Spanish-language MAML is delivered in a competency-based, subscription learning model, allowing you to earn credit for prior ministry knowledge and experience. Move at your own pace, receive personalized faculty mentorship, and demonstrate real-world competency through structured, flexible coursework designed around your ministry context. This format enhances affordability, flexibility, and practical application without sacrificing theological depth.
Students also benefit from the support of SEU’s Adolfo Carrión Hispanic Leadership Center and partnerships like the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NaLEC), strengthening connection and leadership development within the broader Hispanic evangelical community.
Whether you are currently serving in ministry or preparing for future leadership, the Spanish-language MAML offers a thoughtful, accessible pathway to deepen theological understanding, strengthen leadership capacity, and faithfully serve Hispanic churches and communities.
