SEU GLOBAL EDUCATION

You Can Dream About All The Travel You’d Love To Do — Or You Can Actually Do It!

SEU Global Education (a.k.a. Study Abroad) gives you the chance to experience places you’ve only seen in pictures — all while learning new skills, earning course credit, or completing an internship. We even offer a summer Study Abroad experience for incoming freshmen!

Programs span 1–2 weeks, or a full semester, so choose your location based on your major, or choose a destination and let that experience show you exciting new paths!

Our Global Education office is also offering remote internships with international companies, providing students the chance to increase intercultural competencies if international travel is not possible.

Sample Programs

International Opportunities

At SEU, study abroad opportunities are divided into major-specific and destination-specific programs, giving you an impressive variety to choose from. Regardless of what you choose, one thing is for certain — you will return from your study abroad program more globally aware and more knowledgeable than you were before.

Social Work

Through the Uganda Studies Program and Living and Learning International’s program in Quito, Ecuador, students can work in locations such as mental health hospitals and earn the practicum credit required for graduation.

Bible Lands

Traveling to study in countries such as Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Italy will bring your faith to life in ways you never knew were possible.

Literature & History

What better place to learn about literature than England? This program is a book lover’s dream, and will expand your knowledge in arts, literature, and so much more.

Medicine

Students can study global health and take pre-med courses in a variety of countries.

Business

After learning with internationally-based business leaders in Spain and Portugal, students also have the option to complete a 6-week internship in Madrid. Our opportunities in El Salvador give practical experience in all business sectors, including nonprofit business, community development and poverty alleviation.

Missions

Serving with missionaries in locations such as Thailand, while also earning course credit online, is a great way to see if mission work is the right path for a student.

Photography

Earning course credit in photojournalism is exciting and enriching in such locations as Australia and New Zealand (these locations rotate annually).

Language

Immersing yourself in a culture is the best possible way to learn a language. Our students who travel to Ecuador increase their fluency in the Spanish language while gaining a rich appreciation for the traditions and customs of its people. Or you might decide to learn Arabic in Egypt or Thai in Thailand.

Domestic Opportunities

While studying abroad often means coursework done in an international location, it can also refer to experiential learning that happens off-campus in a domestic location. Here are just two examples.

CCCU Global Ed

Students who participate in domestically-based CCCU Global Ed programs are given a “leg-up” into industries that are historically difficult to begin to work in. For example, students who study music in Nashville or who study film in Los Angeles are often hired by the companies they interned for, or they establish strong industry connections that lead to jobs after graduation.

Baltimore Urban Studies

Students who are interested in urban health and racial reconciliation in an urban context can spend a summer or a full semester with Baltimore Urban Studies, or what we call the BUS.
