Are you called to make an impact for the next generation? The landscape of education is constantly evolving, especially regarding the intersection of traditional pedagogy and technologically-based learning innovations. SEU’s College of Education will prepare you to be the teacher you’re meant to be with the mastery of these methods…and much more.
You’ll discover ways to serve your school at a higher level by adapting to each challenge along the way and being a compassionate mentor for your students. Plus, your field study and internships will provide real teaching experience to ensure that you graduate as a successful, effective educator.
If you’re majoring in Exceptional Student Education, you can pursue your degree in our ESE 4+1 format, allowing you to graduate with both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in ESE in as little as 5 years.
Without leaving campus, you can learn to serve and elevate the education of young people with special needs. Volunteer in the classrooms at SEU’s Pathways School of Excellence, or become a peer mentor for the SEU Link Postsecondary Transition Program.
All education students participate in a minimum of 135 hours of field study before starting their internships. Thanks to this extensive field study experience and the internships that our programs require, our students are highly sought after in the job market.
