Bio

Amber Hoffman has spent 17 years as a civilian in law enforcement. She began her career as a Crime Analyst in Suffolk Virginia but then moved to Florida to be a Crime and Intelligence Analysis with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. In 2014, she left to join the Manatee County Sheriff's Office to become the Analytical and Strategic Planning Manager. Her unit was responsible for the agency's Strategic Plan, Crime and Intelligence Analysis, NIBR reporting, and CrimeStoppers. During this time, she also served as an adjunct professor with Hillsborough Community College where she taught Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Crime and Intelligence Analysis, Advanced Crime Analysis, and Juvenile Delinquency.

Mrs. Hoffman holds certifications in law enforcement analysis from the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). She also holds a Credential of Readiness and Graduate Certificates in Organizational Behavior and Project Management through Harvard Extension School.
