Bio

I am blessed to be a nursing professional for the last thirty years. My experience includes a diverse background encompassing community health, administration, school nursing, psychiatric mental health, and teaching at various levels, including K-12 and college. My teaching philosophy is grounded in a commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment at Southeastern University with Christ as center.

Throughout my nursing journey, I have gained a profound passion for both clinical practice and education.
As a firm believer in lifelong learning, I maintain my expertise through relevant certifications, such as Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC) by ANCC and Nationally Certified School Nurse (NCSN) by ANCC, which further strengthens my ability to provide comprehensive and up-to-date instruction to my students.

I am a mother of four wonderful adult children and a "Mimi" to ten beloved grand babies, (with two more on their way), whom I love to spend time with and spoil! I enjoy most sports, especially swimming and boating, love learning about history, exploring the arts, and traveling as much as possible. I am also a foodie and love to cook and gather new recipes in my travels.

I also enjoy serving my community at large. These aspects of my life enrich my teaching philosophy by instilling a sense of empathy, compassion, and understanding, which I strive to bring into the educational experience. I am grateful to be part of a Christ centered University that is centered around God and people.
