Bio

Cali Butler serves as a professor of Bible and theology at Southeastern University, where she is passionate about equipping students to engage deeply with Scripture and live out their faith with authenticity and purpose. With a heart for both academic rigor and spiritual formation, she creates a classroom environment that invites students to wrestle with the text, ask meaningful questions, and grow in their personal relationship with Christ. Her teaching reflects a deep love for the Word of God and a desire to see students flourish in their calling.

In addition to her role in higher education, Cali serves as an assistant pastor at Northside Assembly in Lakeland, Florida. Her pastoral ministry includes preaching, teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care, allowing her to walk alongside people in their spiritual journeys in tangible and personal ways. She finds great joy in bridging the gap between the academy and the local church, believing that theology is most powerful when it is lived out in community.

Cali is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and a current PhD candidate with Bangor University in Wales, where her research explores the function of Jesus' blood in atonement and its theological implications. She is also an active member of the Society for Pentecostal Studies. Whether she's lecturing in a classroom, preaching on a Sunday, or mentoring a student or church member, her heart is to see people grow in love for God and commitment to His mission. When she's not in the office or at church, Cali finds joy in the quiet beauty of nature, cherishes time with her family, and enjoys exploring new cultures and their cuisines. These rhythms of rest and relationship keep her grounded and continually remind her of God’s presence in every part of life.
