Erika Cuffy

Bio

Erika Cuffy is a social work educator and practitioner with experience in higher education, child welfare, family services, and anti-trafficking work. She currently serves as the Bachelor of Social Work Program & Field Director. Erika holds a Master of Social Work from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Southeastern University. Her professional interests include trauma-informed practice, child welfare, family support, human trafficking, and experiential learning. She is also committed to community engagement and service learning.

Erika currently serves as a social work faculty member and Program Director, where she supports the overall development and success of the social work program, works closely with students, and helps create meaningful educational experiences that prepare students for professional practice. She also serves as Field Director, where she helps oversee students’ field education experiences, works with practicum agencies and community partners, coordinates student placements, and supports students and agencies throughout the practicum process. She is passionate about connecting classroom learning to real-world social work practice and ensuring students feel prepared, supported, and confident as they enter the profession.

Outside of her professional life, Erika is a wife and mom of three who values spending time with her family. She also loves to cook and finds joy in bringing people together around good food. Her family is at the heart of who she is, and she brings that same sense of connection into her work with students and the social work community.
