Bio

Erika Cuffy is an alumna of Southeastern University and loves being able to teach at the university which sparked her initial love for the profession of social work. Professor Cuffy is the BSW Field Director and her main priority is to place all bachelor-level social work students in their dream internships.

Along with teaching in the Social Work department, Professor Cuffy also provides counseling at the SEU Counseling Center. Prior to joining Southeastern University, Professor Cuffy served as a Regional School Social Worker for Polk County Public Schools where she provided individual and group counseling to middle school students. Professor Cuffy also had the privilege of working for Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and One More Child as both an Anti-Trafficking Advocate and Adoption Specialist. As an advocate, she worked with high-risk survivors of human trafficking in over six counties across Florida. As an adoption specialist, she had the honor of witnessing families become complete through the process of adoption.

Professor Cuffy has been married for a number of years and has two beautiful sons. A fun fact about her is that she loves to cook! She feels like it brings out her artistic side. She also loves when people enjoy her cooking.
