Dr. Jennifer Voigt is a coloratura soprano and adjunct professor of voice at Southeastern University. She completed her Doctorate of Musical Arts in vocal performance and pedagogy at the University of Miami, where she specialized in contemporary opera and chamber music. She has since then commissioned and performed several pieces with contemporary chamber groups in south Florida and Texas.
Additionally, she and her husband, Dr. Tyson Voigt commission and perform faith-based contemporary works as the soprano/percussion Resound Duo. They have toured pieces such as Little Jagged Jesus, a chamber piece with electronics exploring the faith struggles of a person diagnosed with cancer.
Jennifer is also on staff as the Modern Worship Arts Director at First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, where she designs and leads the modern Vine service, directs the youth worship band, and organizes the worship for the Celebrate Recovery ministry.
