His greatest joy in higher education is seeing his students discover their Divine Design and walk in their calling. He encourages students to exercise their voices through academic publications, research, and presentations. As a pastor and educator, he has a heart for Christian higher education: working with students to help them achieve their academic goals and providing pastoral encouragement.
Dr. Henson is passionate about the local church and is actively involved in ministry. He serves as a small group leader at his local church while speaking in other venues throughout the year. He currently serves as a mentor and coach to pastors, educators, and Christian leaders on six continents, and, as the opportunity arises, he serves as a consultant for organizations and churches.
