Dr. Kristine Spinks first started working with Southeastern University in 2004 as part of the Department of Continuing and Adult Education (DCAE) as well as a psychology adjunct instructor in the evening program. She has also worked as an online course developer for SEU in both the areas of Psychology and Human Services over the past 15 years developing most of the online psychology courses for the current online bachelor’s program. In the fall of 2019 Dr. Spinks was able to join the school full-time as an Associate Professor as well as the Chair of the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Human Services.
Prior to coming on full-time with SEU Dr. Spinks had worked with a number of online institutions. Of all the schools she has worked with over the past 18 years her favorite by far has been SEU because it allows her to combine her love for God with her passion for psychology. Dr. Spinks enjoys both course design and teaching in all areas of psychology. She especially loves to be able to guide and mentor both students and new instructors.
Dr. Spinks and her husband have been married for 28 years and they have 1 daughter who recently completed her degree in Psychology and moved to New York City. When she is not working Dr. Spinks loves spending time with her family and friends, watching a good movie, or hanging out with her 7 goats.
