Bio

Melody is honored to return to her alma mater as a professor in social work. She has been working in various roles as a clinical social worker for the past seven years in Hillsborough County.

The majority of her career so far has been spent providing outpatient therapy to children, adolescents and adults with a focus in trauma informed care. At her outpatient role at the Mosaic Wellness Collective, Melody was joined by therapy dog Hope to provide animal assisted therapy to clients.

Melody also partnered with the Department of Children and Families as a report analyst to provide treatment and intervention recommendations for long term cases in need of additional support.

In addition to providing outpatient therapy, Melody is a certified yoga instructor and has had the opportunity to bring yoga to underserved youths, and inpatient mental health facilities in the Tampa Bay Area. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of social workers and providing education and empowerment to assist others to reach their optimal emotional and mental well being.
