Mark R. Reinhardt, DNP, MBA, RN, FNP-BC, CNS, is currently the Chief Nurse Administrator at Southeastern University.
Prior to SEU he was the Associate Dean (Chief Academic Officer) and Professor, School of Nursing at Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University, a master’s degree in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, post-master’s certificate as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner both from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston, Master of Business Administration from SEU, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Reinhardt is a retired Army officer with over 20 years of active duty. His assignments included both enlisted and officer leadership and clinical positions. He has served in deployed settings, combat support hospitals, fixed hospitals in positions from medic to Chief of Emergency and Ambulatory Nursing. He was the Officer-in-charge of the Emergency Department in Iraq and Hurricane Katrina and has also been a Company Commander, Nurse Manager, chief, Department of emergency, and in his final nursing active-duty nursing assignment Associate Chief Nursing Officer of emergency and outpatient services. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medals, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Expert Field Medal Badge, and the Honorary Kentucky Colonel from the Governor of Kentucky. He serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice.
Dr. Reinhardt is committed to the advancement of nursing and healthcare practice. Past nursing leadership assignments include Dean, School of Nursing at the University of Lynchburg, Department Chair and Coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Dr. Reinhardt has a passion for nursing, education, leadership, and helping students obtain their goals and dreams. His goal is to promote the practice of nursing, faculty scholarship, service, growth, and research to improve patient outcomes in the ever-changing healthcare landscape.
