Bio

Niki Musick has more than 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse in Polk County, Florida. As a native Lakelander, she has wide-ranging clinical experience as an ambulatory surgery/community/emergency/labor and delivery/pediatric nurse as well as five years as a clinical instructor. She has served as a preceptor, relief charge nurse, and simulation leader in the hospital setting. In addition to her ADN, BSN, and MSN, she has an advanced certification in fetal heart monitoring.

Niki started her nurse educator career as a clinical instructor at Polk State College in 2015, joining the Southeastern family in 2017. In spring 2019, she served as an adjunct faculty member before becoming full-time faculty in fall 2019. Niki’s focus is educating future nurses in the areas of Childbearing, Pediatrics, Community, and Quality and Safety in Nursing.

Niki and her husband Mike have three children in college, along with three rescue dogs. They are active members of Heritage Baptist Church, where they have worked with middle school and high school youth groups. They have a passion for missions, travelling to over 19 countries with concentration on arranging medical clinics and construction aid.

Niki feels a calling to educate student nurses in the light of God’s word. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
