Rev. Ricardo Alvelo

Bio

Rev. Ricardo Alvelo is an ordained minister who has connections to both the local church and academia. Having served as an graduate assistant of advising, SEU network advisor and now as Chair of Extension Site and Online Programs for the Barnett College, Ricardo supports incoming and returning students in their educational journey daily. Serving as Lead Pastor at Friendship Church, Ricardo promotes and supports community service initiatives in Lakeland and Mulberry, Florida. Overall, Ricardo is passionate about bridging the gap between theology and our everyday lives, and is interested in research on Christian spirituality, liturgy, and hospitality as tools to promote holistic living.
