About the Program

The International Student Accelerator program allows you to choose your graduate-level program and the technology-specific concentrations that align with your goals, while you are working in an aligned, required internship for the practical application of the skills you are learning.

Much of the coursework is completed online, but is combined with 3-day in-person intensives each semester. During these intensives, you will get face-to-face interaction with your peers and faculty to supplement your online learning and to meet international student visa requirements.

How it Works

Step 1: Complete this application. You must use this specific link for admission to this program.

Step 2: Submit all required documentation:

  • Degree-specific essay:
    • Prompt: Why do you want to complete your master’s degree with SEU in this field and how will you use it in your career in the future?
    • All essays are to be 1-2 pages typed, double spaced, and in English.
  • College/university transcripts (if you have attended another college/university):
    • If your transcripts are from a foreign university, please submit a “course-by-course” transcript evaluation as offered by JSilny, World Education Services, ECE, Spantran, or InCred.
    • This evaluation will indicate to SEU whether or not your college credits can transfer to SEU
    • The evaluation also allows the admission office to determine if you qualify for transfer academic scholarships.
  • Copy of your passport
  • Copy of any U.S. Visa you may currently have
  • English Proficiency Exam Scores* — TOEFL, IELTS or Duo Lingo are accepted.
    • TOEFL Minimum Scores:
      • Format Score Paper-based test (PBT) — 540–543
      • Computer-based test (CBT) — 207
      • Internet-based test (IBT) — 76
    • IELTS Minimum Scores — 6
    • Duo Lingo Minimum Score — 105

*Exception: If you’re from an English-speaking country, high school or university and have a “C” or higher in your English classes, then you’re not required to submit an English Proficiency Exam. If you do not meet this exception, you will be required to take the TOEFL test.

  • Intensives will be held at SEU’s main campus in Lakeland, Florida for 3 all-day in-person sessions with instructors.
