The Contemporary Music Center (CMC) offers a front-row seat to the ins and outs of the music industry. On this program, students will have the opportunity to visit a publishing house, a modern recording studio, and sound stage. They will also meet a songwriter, producer, engineer, and music arranger to get a taste of what working in this musical metropolis is like. Students will exercise their God-given talents using the world-class equipment of The Hardscuffle Building. Engage your semester with a focus in one of the following tracks; Artist Track, Business Track, Technical Track.
Once in Nashville, your music scene begins with morning classes, after which you will have free reign to compose, perform, mix, and promote to your heart’s content. After weeks of solid creativity, you will be our on tour; living the experience and savoring every note. For an entire semester, you will be able to nourish your endless love for music surrounded by peers who feel exactly the same! You will have shared access to the best gear, giving you every opportunity to create high-quality music. Experienced and caring faculty guide the way through your most engaging, demanding, and emotionally satisfying semester yet. No matter your focus, making music your lifelong career starts here at the CMC.
