Supporting Your Journey: Student Services at SEU

Whether you’re on campus or studying online, SEU is committed to walking alongside you every step of your academic journey. We believe that students thrive when they’re supported — academically, emotionally, and spiritually. 

That’s why SEU offers a wide range of student support services designed to meet your needs, no matter your delivery method or program level.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s available. 

Academic Support

  • Academic Advising/Faculty Advising: Available to all students, whether undergraduate or graduate, and across all delivery formats. Your academic advisor and faculty advisor work closely with you to help you stay on track and plan for success.
  • ACE (Academic Center for Enrichment): Undergraduate students have access to in-person and remote tutoring to sharpen their skills and build academic confidence.
  • Brainfuse – Virtual Tutoring: Open to all undergraduate and master’s students, Brainfuse provides 24/7 online tutoring, including graduate-level writing support.
  • Testing & Proctoring Services: Available to main campus students needing proctored testing environments (i.e. CLEP, students with ADA testing accommodations, and athletes making up tests due to missing them for athletic travel).
  • Steelman Library: Students can access the SEU library online or in person, available to all student levels and delivery types. Our library faculty are dedicated to helping you find the resources you need for successful learning.

Accessibility for All

SEU is dedicated to accessibility, providing accommodations to students across all delivery formats. Our Office of Academic & Auxiliary Services coordinates accommodations for students with documented disabilities. 

Health & Wellness Services

These essential services have been designed with our students’ health in mind — making it easy to get the help you’re looking for.

Student Success & Support

  • Career Services: No matter where you are in your academic journey, career services are available to all students to help with resumes, job search, and planning for the future.
  • Student Outreach & Support (SOS): SOS offers care coordination, resource referrals, and personalized support for all students.
  • First Year Experience: Exclusively for main campus undergraduates, this program helps first-time-in-college students make the transition into college life with confidence.
  • Thrive at SEU: This web page provides tips and resources for navigating life at SEU and adjusting to college.

Spiritual Formation

  • Chapel: All students, no matter their location or program, are invited to participate in SEU Chapel services.
  • House Groups: Available to main campus and online undergraduate students, House Groups offer small-group community, spiritual growth, and mentorship.

Graduate & Doctoral Students

Graduate students have full access to key services like Brainfuse tutoring, library resources, ADA accommodations, and spiritual formation opportunities.
