We are proud to celebrate Dr. Megan Hudson (DMSc, PA-C) who has been named the 2025 Humanitarian of the Year by the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA).  Dr. Hudson is an SEU alumna and faculty member in the College of Natural & Health Sciences

This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Hudson’s lifelong commitment to service through domestic and global medical missions and her dedication to expanding healthcare access in underserved communities. Her journey began at just 12 years old on a mission trip to Mexico, an experience that sparked her passion for serving others.

As the founder of the nonprofit organization Global Health ImPAct, she mobilizes healthcare professionals and students to deliver sustainable care and training around the world.

Dr. Hudson earned her DMSc from the University of Lynchburg, a Master of Medical Science from Barry University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from SEU. Today, she serves as an associate professor at SEU, directing the Master of Medical Sciences program, teaching undergraduate courses, and continuing to practice as a licensed physician assistant in the Polk county community. She is passionate about preparing future healthcare professionals by creating a classroom environment where students can take risks, problem-solve, and grow into confident leaders.

We couldn’t be more excited to honor Dr. Hudson for the incredible way she continues to live out SEU’s mission through both her career and calling.
