SEU Worship’s newest album Found In The Field is rooted in the parable of the hidden treasure from Matthew 13:44, this album reminds us that the kingdom of heaven is not distant, but a treasure to be actively sought and joyfully found in the presence of Jesus.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” — Matthew 13:44
A Journey of Faith & Community
Found in the Field was a collaborative project between students, alumni, and staff as well as many friends in the music industry. The writing process began in Orlando with core artists and alumni, and then continued in California where they worked alongside Aodhan King. From there, they made their way to Dallas to work with Abbie Gamboa, Anna Golden, Joel and Elyssa Figueroa, and the JOGS crew. This collective effort was united by a shared mission: to glorify God through worship.
The recording process itself was full of moments spent worshipping in our community at SEU. Songs like rlly ❤️ u were recorded in chapel, while Wild Rushing Wind was captured live during SEU Conference. The remaining tracks came together over dedicated sessions in Bush Chapel with the support of Abbie and Gabe Gamboa and Dave Cruz. Each track captures the vibrant movement of God on campus and over our community.

About SEU Worship
SEU Worship is the worship movement at Southeastern University. As a collaboration between the faculty, staff, students, and alumni, SEU Worship is a reflection of the worship during weekly chapel services on our campus and within our community. Inspired by the sounds of current pop music and the culture of our student population, our writers aim to craft prophetic, theologically-sound lyrics that resonate with audiences of all ages, but especially with young adults. Since 2020, SEU Worship has been represented by Sony Music’s Provident Label Group.
