Mental Health Support
Comprehensive mental health support — also included in your student fees — is available virtually or on-campus at the Campus Counseling Center. Our counseling and clinical staff collaborate as needed to best support our students.
Costs
Cost: Included in student fees
Your student fees allow for unrestricted access to face-to-face assessments and care at the Health Services and Counseling Center offices on campus.* These assessments are unlimited and without additional fees.
*Important: The services included in your student fees are NOT a health insurance plan, but rather a cost-effective way to obtain health and counseling services on campus. Please do not cancel your personal insurance.
Cost: $250 per semester
Campus Care, designed for use on SEU’s main campus in Lakeland, Florida, provides convenient care and eliminates the hassle of working with your insurance carrier.**
Enroll for only $250 per semester (a potential $1,000 in savings) for access to all of the services and benefits listed below.

- All prescriptions
- Any services performed outside of Campus Health Services
- Some immunizations
- Physical therapy
- Labs not listed to the left of this page (histology, pathology, cytology, hematology, microbiology, etc.)
- Radiology services (e.g. X-ray, MRI, CT-scan)
- Specialist visits (students will be referred to Applicable practitioners within the Lakeland Regional Health system as needed)
No controlled substances are housed in or prescribed from Health Services.
Megan Hudson, DMSc, PA-C
Dr. Megan Hudson, PA-C, is the director of Health Services at Southeastern University. Hudson started serving in this role in August of 2020. Previously, she served as an assistant professor in the College of Natural & Health Services at SEU for five years.
Dr. Hudson is a nationally-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), practicing at Lakeland Regional Health. She has worked in family medicine since 2011. As the director of Health Services, Hudson serves students at SEU by creating environments for comprehensive and unrestricted access to physical and mental health services.
Outside of SEU, Hudson has served as a part of the disaster response team (DART) through Samaritan’s Purse. She also encourages students to explore opportunities and careers in global health and medicine. Her heart for global health is integrated into opportunities within Health Services for medical missions.
Hudson holds a bachelor’s degree in pre-med/biology from Southeastern University, a master’s in medical sciences from Barry University, and a doctorate in medical science from the University of Lynchburg. She has published on the benefits of bariatric surgery and works closely with the National Eating Disorder Association to utilize motivational interviewing and resources for students on campus.
