Positive Effect

Based on pre- and post-program perceptions of students, mentors, and parents, overall program efficacy is largely positive.

Link program efficacy was measured during the 2022–2023 school year through the administration of a closed-structured, Likert-type research instrument. The research instrument was administered at the outset and at the conclusion of the school year to Link mentors, parents, and students. As a result, Link student efficacy was evident in the perceptions of all three stakeholder groups participating in the Link program. Statistically significant findings for student efficacy on campus, on the job site, and within the community were echoed by each stakeholder group.

An ancillary analysis using SEM Path modeling reinforced the important role of student efficacy on the job. This was fulfilled in mediating the relationship between study efficacy on campus and within the community.
